The Australian Trainers’ Association were deeply saddened to hear the news that Tasmanian Hall of Fame trainer and long-time member Bill Ryan had passed away after a lengthy illness.

Bill was a respected member of the ATA and his contribution over many years is sincerely acknowledged. Bill achieved great success in Tasmania but in Victoria in 2021 we remember him winning the Group 2 Rose of Kingston Stakes at Flemington with his star mare “Still a Star” beating Pride of Jenni.

The ATA extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the racing community during this difficult time.
