Australian Trainers Association | Ata News 64798 Dan Oopy Win Ata Race At Strathalbyn

A big congratulations to long time ATA Members Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray who won the ATA Sponsored BM 58 over 1100m at Strathalbyn on April 29th with the lightly raced 3 Year Old Like A Drifter by a widening 3.8 lengths.

In doing so the winning Trainers have picked up a $250 Voucher to the Racing Supplies Store which has been located at Morphettville Training Centre for the last 4 months.

In a race which saw 9 of the 11 runners trained by ATA Members Like A Drifter was highly impressive and has now won or been placed in 3 of its 5 career starts and looks more than capable of stepping up to Metropolitan in the coming weeks.

To add a further ATA flavour to the race the winning rider, Tala Hutchinson is managed by our current State Executive Damien Wilton who was also on course to present the voucher with the South Australian president Chris Bieg.

The sponsoring of the race and associated voucher provides further evidence of the ATA providing support to the Racing Industry in South Australia.
